Matt “Captain Matt” Argondizza (b. 1965, Portland, Maine) is a photographer, artist, and naturalist based in Miami, Florida. He is co-founder and Head Preparator/Installer at Green Space Miami, exhibition spaces dedicated to discovering, promoting, and documenting the artists, creatives, and cultures of the Miami area. Matt studied graphic design at the Portland School of Art and is an accomplished boat captain and tour guide on Biscayne Bay. His photography reflects his deep love for nature, which is evident in his dedicated work rescuing seabirds in Biscayne Bay.
His photographs capture a beauty that is often unintended and less literal, highlighting how the forces of nature shape our perceptions in ways we frequently overlook. They invite us to pause and truly appreciate the intricate details we often miss.
